    Webserver Performance

While casually browsing through the forum topics, I discovered a shortcut URL type

    http://www.community-credit.com/Portfolios/ShowPortfolio.aspx?user=user@example.com

I would say this page needs to have the following enhancements.

    1. Pagination -- Currently it is dumping all the credits on the single page causing the webserver to curse and the browser to cry due to heavy data being transmitted from server to client. :)
    2. Categorization -- This is a desired feature and can be implemented alongwith (1). You can group the categories like 'Forums' and show total and subtotal. In future we can consider more granular filters like Monthwise, Yearwise etc.

Yes, both will be implemented.  I initially had paging implemented on it and then got hung up a bit on how .NET 2.0 handles postbacks, making it difficult to maintain a URL like http://www.community-credit.com/contributions/DavidSilverlight   I ended up taking paging off and never returned back.  Now would be the time to return. Big Smile

Let me extend the extend the discussion further... If I could create the "Ultimate Portfolio" for display of contributions, what would you expect to see in it?

    Kindest regards,
