  • Certifications and Points approval process ?

I have two questions: 1. For Microsoft certifications we cannot provide a single URL that lists our certification, instead a verification url is provided along with the TranscriptID and the Access code. I have submitted the points in such manner by giving the Verification URL, TranscriptID and the Access...

  • Re: Webserver Performance

Yes, both will be implemented. I initially had paging implemented on it and then got hung up a bit on how .NET 2.0 handles postbacks, making it difficult to maintain a URL like http://www.community-credit.com/contributions/DavidSilverlight I ended up taking paging off and never returned back. Now would...

  • Re: Comment on other technologies

Hey Keyvan, I could not agree more. The site is not aimed at .NET, it is a community for all technologies, all websites, all languages, etc. It is really aimed at rewarding those that contribute to the development community, not a specific technology. I guess my question would be what gives you the impression...
  • Re: Simplified points categories

When you select tags for a discussion post it hides the choices below the banner for the entire website. Navigation is confusing, when you are in the discussion board there are two menus, and only one had breadcrumbs.
  • Re: Simplified points categories

IMHO not only is there a need to simplify the points categorization there is a need to simplify the entire process. For example when I logged in to post this comment, I was in the discussion board, pressed the log in button entered my email and pwd and it brought me to somebody else’s points list. So...
  • Re: Simplified points categories

Hey Christopher, Your idea about the description next to the category in the drop down also makes a world of sense. I wll basically be implementing both suggestions. Although the idea of a wizard is a great one, I think that "NEEDING" a wizard means that I missed the boat a bit in making the categories...
  • Re: Simplified points categories

Hey Christopher, I think that there is definitely "room for improvement" regarding the point categories. I really think that the idea of a wizard is one of the best ideas suggested so far! I love it and it may really help to simplify this part which I agree is a bit confusing at times. I had actually...
  • Re: Guest developers

That is an idea that I have bounced around a bit in my head in the past, so I am happy that you have suggested it as well. Great minds thnk alike. I think that it is one that can really drive traffic and recognition to the forums. One issue that I would like to solve before doing that is to get more...

  • Re: Points for moderating Credits

Although I do like the idea of rewarding folks that moderate submissions, I would have to think of the best way to do so. Perhaps we can call yours the commission based system. I would modify your suggestion from a percentage based system to one based on the number of submission processed as well as...
